Adm. Daryl Caudle told Breaking Defense he is concerned what Russia "may or may not be doing" as it continues to militarize its northern coast.
Breaking Defense was on hand to see a Marine combat logistics regiment train to stay low-profile while extending the Corps', and Navy's, reach.
“It’s probably one of the most dynamic and most [stressful] situations that we put our watchstanders through and our aircrew through,” Rear Adm. Marc Miguez said of using LVC technology.
To make Large Scale Exercise 2023 as realistic as possible, the Navy had nearly 1,000 personnel dynamically changing the battlefields to challenge the fleet.
“If you don’t have that objective tension, then it becomes a little bit as we like to say in the Navy, a self-licking ice cream cone,” said Adm. Daryl Caudle, commander of US Fleet Forces.
